GREETINGS FROM CS TO ALIANZA PAIS FOR THE V NATIONAL CONVENTION

To Movimiento Alianza PAIS

Dear comrades, dear friends,

for the coming V Convention of the Movimiento Alianza Pais to be held on October 1st 2016, I wish to extend a warm greeting to President Correa, leaders, delegates and all those people who will participate to this important meeting.

For those who observe you from the distance, from far away, remember that you are a worldwide reference point of Socialism of the XXI century, and I thank you for the enormous work you are doing in Ecuador and Latin America for socialism.

A job certainly complex and with very strong internal and external pressures . A job which is possible thanks to your ever-renewed willingness to counter the advance of the neo-liberal system and his disciples, scattered everywhere, with increasing arrogance that lurk within the political, economic and information sphere.
We are socialists and we all work to strengthen socialism as a model in opposition to the neo liberal system. Our role is to build solidarity, cement aggregations. We must find the driving forces for an alternative development model, measurable on economic and social sustainability factors and, working together, I think we could do it.

This is an age when we must join forces, build new projects, give hope to people. The light of socialism is still alive but needs to be extended so that it will reach distant, poorly lit places.

Best wishes to all of you,

Manuel Santoro
National Secretary

ELAP 2016. LETTER TO MOVIMIENTO ALIANZA PAIS

Manuel Santoro, National Secretary
Letter sent on September 16th, 2016

Dear comrades, dear friends,

Convergenza Socialista is honored about the invitation to the 3rd Progressive Latin-America Meeting, ELAP 2016, which will be held in Ecuador from the 28th to the 30th of this September. Such meeting is of vital importance for the future of the political, economic and social alternative to the neo-liberal system, and, I hope, it will be organized in the coming years with more strength and decision.

I thank, then, the Movimiento Alianza PAIS and, especially President Rafael Correa, Dorris Soliz Carrion, Executive Secretary, Fander Falconi Benitez, President of the International Relation Commission, and Noelia Arias of the International Relation Commission. At the same time, I thank all political organizations, political movement and political Parties that are going to participate to such important meeting to make it vital to the eyes of the world.

Convergenza Socialista is a political Party born one year and a half ago from the ashes of Italian socialism, and right away, with extreme clarity, it has pointed towards the neo-liberal system as the cause for the excruciating economic and social crisis which are affecting so greatly our time, in all continents of our world.

We are socialist and we strongly believe that the neo-liberal system, the neo-liberal political platforms, must be overcome with socialist policies. Socialism is opposite to neo-liberalism and neo-liberalism is opposite to socialism. Our mission is to contribute to the construction of the political and economical alternative to the neo-liberal system, in Italy and internationally.
